Experience for yourself what everyone is talking about – the healing power of a CBD Massage

A CBD Massage can be a natural way to enhance the therapeutic benefits of a massage. The therapist uses CBD plant infused oil during the session to help ease muscle tension and pain while reducing inflammation.* As the spirit of the plant dances along the surface of the body it creates a naturally warming, calming sensation to the nervous system. Utilizing CBD infused oil and deep tissue CBD cream during a massage session offers a deeper level of attention to aches and pains of the body. The medicinal properties of the CBD Jojoba infused oil will nourish and softens the skin, while reliving deep tissue pain and inflammation.* This session uses CBD infused Jojoba oil throughout the entire session, along with CBD infused cream and/or salve to target areas.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid one of 100 chemical compounds found within the hemp/cannabis plant. In the most recent years CBD has been recognized for its medicinal properties, used by cancer patients, helping with pain, nausea and reducing anxiety.  It's a cannabinoid compound found in hemp and cannabis that responds to receptors found in the skin.

Many people confuse hemp with marijuana.  Although the two plants share the same genus (Cannabis) they are used differently. Hemp oil is derived from seeds and stalks, not from the flower or buds like its cousin (THC).  Marijuana usually has high amounts of THC, the psychoactive part of the plant that people use both recreationally and medicinally. Hemp contains only small amounts of THC (.3% or less) and can be purified to contain no THC at all.

Hemp is a great (THC) alternative and contain non-detectable amounts of THC and will not give you any psychoactive effect where you feel “high”.  You will not fail a drug test when using topical products since they contain non-detect levels of THC.  In addition to containing no THC, the products are applied topically and offer no psychoactive properties.

Hemp seed oil is legal in all 50 states and does not contain the (THC) found in medical cannabis or marijuana therefore it does not require a state issued medical cannabis card.

How does it work?
Cannabidiol

 How does cannabidiol work?

Cells in the body have receptors that cannabidiol (CBD) can act on (the endocannabinoid system (ECS) which is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors in the human body).  The endocannabinoid system is responsible for regulating various systems in the body.  It’s these receptors that send out messages through your nervous system to help regulate everything from internal temperature to appetite, sleep, memory, pain, and our immune system

Understanding the endocannabinoid system splits in two groups of cannabinoid receptors, known as CB1 and CB2 receptors. While CB1 receptors are primarily located in the brain, CB2 receptors are found all over the rest of the body.  When we use CBD products it aids both CB1 and CB2 receptors within the body.  In the same way our bodies produce natural cannabinoids, CBD can communicate with our endocannabinoid system to induce the same medicinal benefits.

When applied topically, CBD will be absorbed quickly by the largest organ in the body (the skin).  The skin’s CB2 receptors soak up the CBD oil and interaction with your endocannabinoid system stimulating several medicinal benefits. *  Using CBD oil during a massage can help reduce pain by directing the nerves to reduce their firing.  Additional benefits include; gaining relief from chronic and acute pain, inflammation, muscle tension.*  Because CBD offers anti-inflammatory effects, it may also help with skin inflammation, irritations, itching, minor abrasions and other skin conditions.*
